Share your thoughts on decompression after FIRE

This was me close to my exit. I got an above average performance bonus in December and quit in January. The workload/responsibilities did not allow for any decompression while on the job - it just kept growing. I worked at a global company so meetings were as early as 7am and as late as 11pm. Another guy posted here about always being "on". He liked it - I didn't. I was inundated with emails, meeting requests, phone texts, and IM intrusions. Along with a commute, unhealthy eating due to stress, and lack of exercise - I had various symptoms of low level inflammation. My original plan had been to work until 55, but I ended up pulling the trigger 2 years earlier due to symptoms of burnout. I decompressed for about 9 months.
