I didn't even want the Vandals hat. University of Idaho. It was just a yellow letter "I" on a black hat, but I drew the team out of a (different) hat and I was forced to buy it as part of a pact with four other friends.

The other choices were, besides my letter "I" hat: Houston Astros (a capital H in a star), Chicago Cubs (a white and red "C" on a blue hat), The Texas rangers which was pretty much just a capital "T" and of course the famous Boston Red Sox "B".

You can probably see where this is going. On designated days we all wore our hats to school and we all sat in our math class, me second from left. Mrs. Prissly might or might not have noticed that our hats spelled "BITCH", right in a straight line down the second row of desks, but if she did, she gave no indication of it. It was still a small victory, sometimes all you can get when you're in high school.
