If you read my initial post, I said the TOP military and police units in the world. Top means Tier 1 special missions unit, which the seals are not, they are Tier 2 save for ST6/DEVGRU which chooses any damn pistol that works for them personally. Same goes for 1th-SFOD-D, they use whatever the hell they like.

Now, the units that are indeed tier 1 and have a standard issued sidearm, most of them use SIGs, such as the 22nd SAS, FBI Hostage Rescue, Swedish National Task Force etc. The SAS did tests for years between the Glock and SIG and found they are equally reliable, it’s just that the SIG happens to outshoot the Glock every time. There is a written statement from John McAleese about this, I’ll take his 20 years of experience as a tier 1 operator and his preference of SIG as pretty good.
