Shelter told us he wasn’t good with people, after being adopted and returned twice. Good thing we didn’t listen.

I hope this gets seen. I had the sweetest cat ever killed by cayotes and when we realized she wasn't coming back went down to the local shelter. There was a black cat in her own enclosure who had been abused but was really sweet when I was petting her through the bars. I asked to take her to the room where I could be with her without the cage and they sent me back to the room while they moved her.

I started hearing sounds of what can only be described as a cat being slowly murdered with a very small knife. They come into the room with the cage and open it where she runs to the corner and starts growling and hissing at me which was alot different than the sweet cat behind the cage. After about 30 minutes of her wanting to kill me I told them I would take her home.

She's not a perfect cat but every month she gets sweeter and I knew if I didn't take her home no one would. I had worked with wild cats before so it wasn't a huge deal.
