Sheriff: ‘Sexual predator’ facing charges after 6-year-old girl tests positive for STD

>Rape is sexual intercourse that is forced on another without the person's consent or against the person's will. This act is criminalized throughout the United States, but the legal term for it varies from state to state. Some states label this crime as rape, while others refer to it as sexual assault, sexual battery, or criminal sexual penetration. Regardless of what a state calls this offense, however, most agree on the definition as sexual penetration or sodomy without consent.

First off, rape is an overly narrow form of sexual assault and you don't HAVE to penetrate a person to give them an STD. Secondly it protects the victim with some level of obfuscation. It's a little easier to report sexual assault than it is to say you were raped. Most states have gotten rid of the crime of rape in favor of Sexual Assault.

I think the key to realize here is that.. it's not about you feeling like justice was done. That's just you wanting stuff because you're human and you want stuff ALL THE TIME. It's better for the victim.

PEOPLE call it sexual assault because they are using the correct term for their state, those PEOPLE are the informed ones paying attention, not the people WHO KEEP ASKING THE SAME QUESTION ABOUT .. WhY yOU sAY seXuAL ASSault anD NoT RApE!!

If you wanted to know the answer vs just get your 2 cents in.. you would have looked it up OR you need to learn to look things up more. That's your answer and REMEMBER.. YOU ASKED!
