Sheriff's Deputies Step In To Help Address Homelessness Crisis In Venice Area

Thanks. Homophobic and stupid. I have my issues with Bonin, but I don't know why people feel the need to make up dumb unrelated conspiracies about him. If this is about the cost of homeless housing, people should know that all "affordable housing" programs have cost 500k-1m per unit for years because of our completely stupid statewide laws and bureaucracy that he didn't invent. He's trying to do a shelter-first approach that he believes in whether or not you think it's naive. My criticism of him is the same as the rest of the LA city council which is that the numbers don't add up; a hundred cabins here or there is diddly squat compared to 60k unhoused, even HHH was at its most optimistic going to house 25% of the homeless population. It's stupid, and they'll never fix it until they put a ton more shelters in and make it way cheaper to build housing. But they don't want to do that because as much as people in LA hate homelessness many hate new shelters and housing just as much.
