I'm sorry, but I just don't really get why this people pretends a trans artist has some magical level of autonomy in this dark, gross industry. Do we really think she had her choice of top producers in the world and went, "I choose you Dr. Puke!" Is she supposed to not seize the opportunity and have a career? And what would we benefit? Losing yet another of the very few highly visible trans pop artists and Dr. Luke would be producer for some other random pop girlie without so much as a sweat??

It's not how the industry works, besties. Kim Petras' very existence is an affront to the abusive cis patriarchy that dominates music, and I'm not about to hold her to some extremely elevated standard that I have literally never seen applied to someone else at this vulnerable career stage. She does not have the power y'all think she has.
