Shifu's fleetfoot is literally a self-casted otherside that he can still fight through. The ONLY reason no one complains about poloma's otherside is because she cannot fight back while it is active.
Both are immaterials. Poloma's other side can be cast on ALLIES and it heals. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ABILITY. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY HERE? IT'S EVEN STRONGER SINCE YOU CAN CAST IT ON ALLIES, SAVE THEM FROM ANYTHING.
It only has one source of counter play. period. Force him to waste it? A half decent shifu won't waste it, and there are very few scenarios where it would even be a waste.
This game is all about forcing your opponent to use their escape abilities. You absolutely can do it and that is what you should be doing in this game. Apply damage/pressure.
Shields aren't a problem because shielded characters are still susceptible to CC. Barriers aren't a problem because you can simply approach from a different direction or bait it out (as there are far more scenarios where baiting a barrier is actually a waste).
It was an example of how in Battlerite there's a shitton of abilities that are instant cast and there is no instant, direct counterplay to them (aside from specific champions, usually requiring energy. like Lucie Q, Shifu R but it requires energy...)
"you can't look at one ability and say it's bullshit" Yes you can. Let's say I have a character who has one ability that instantly heals another character to full HP on a 1 second cool-down. That would be bullshit. No need to even look at the rest of the character.
