Shit day of solo travel

Thanks! I believe you’re right and it has largely to do with COVID. I knew traveling under these circumstances would be hard but after spending 16 months in my apartment, I needed to take the chance before September, that’s when my work picks up again and I can’t take a break until Christmas time. From spending about 24 hours in transit with a mask on and nervous about the number of people around me (since I haven’t exposed myself as much in months) to arriving at a beautiful destination and still having to worry about COVID and wearing a mask all day, even while sitting down to eat. Since I’ll be hopping to other countries with restrictions, I want to keep safe so I can pass the required negative PCR tests for entry as well as going back home. I also have a dancing hobby that I do while on vacation and there aren’t any events now because of COVID. People are also less likely to be approachable because we are all keeping in our bubbles to an extent, if you’re maskless, likely won’t approach a masked person and so on. Some are careful, the rest much more relaxed. Also, the tourists here consist of families and couples or groups, I’ve seen maybe two people walking alone. Travel is definitely not as enjoyable under these circumstances.
