Tell me... how does Marxism work out compared to more moderate parts of the political spectrum like democratic socialism? Marxist communism in practice is still an authoritarian one-party system, just like nationalist fascism. Both actually revolve around strong nationalism, ie blind loyalty to the state and national identity above all else. Both result in millions killed and genocides of any group that are deemed enemies of the state. Both rob the average citizen of any power because the state has all power and acts with an almost divine mandate as the "will of the people".

For fks sake. Even China transitioned from an unviable system that leaned heavily towards traditional Marxist communism (that only resulted in civil unrest) to something that is more of a one-party socialist system.
