Shooting a movie about the effects of post-war PTSD and I am looking for moving footage of the most beautiful things in Afghanistan. I wanted to recruit anyone who lives there to help.

Please PM me if you're interested, I can give you more information about that project, the type of footage I'm looking for and how you would be credited! Thank you in advance.

Hi, I think most Afghans are affected by ptst, also in the diaspora. I am an Afghan living in the Netherlands. I have been out of the country when I was 5. Four years ago I decided to go back and look for my roots. I made a road trip from Holland to Afghanistan. It took me a month to travel, and I stayed half a year in this remote 2000 BC village, called Taghai khowja where my dad is born. I did some charity projects. My background is in economics, but I realized these people need more psychological help rather than economic aid. The stories I heared really touched me. And ever since I try to engage our diaspora with reconstruction back home, but it seems our parents in the diaspora are also deeply affected by the war as there is little social cohesion among our communities and people suffer depressions.

I am quite interested in your project, I go to Afghanistan regularly. I always felt I should do something with the stories I hear from the people in this village, for instance how my uncle was 12 years old and the sovjets invaded, our granddad being the local Khan was targeted by the government. We lost 3 uncles during the war. The on following civil war led to other atrocities, there was one guy called Mirwais khan, he was telling me how often he was forced to choose sides in the wars, how the fighting has affected him as a person.
Please tell me what kind of footage are u looking for, I would love to help out. See my facebook Yama Saraj Also our foundation www.ysea.eu

Kind regards
