Shooting suspect in police standoff in Kalamazoo confirmed dead 24 hours after standoff began

The house was demolished during the "standoff." Here's another article from WWMT.

On Monday night, SWAT and police personnel worked to get the suspect out of the home near Washington Avenue and Division Street by deploying tear gas, using police K-9s, and demolition to the house.

Last night I read that police were deploying tear gas inside the residence. That in itself seemed pretty odd to me. To use tear gas in an enclosed space? Don't get me wrong, it's true that the cause of death isn't known yet, but it wouldn't crazy to assume it was from tear gas inhalation, the demolition, and/or from gunfire.
