I'm sorry that I don't have the proper perspective and experience to understand to understand things from your side. I have only music in my neighborhood used as a tool for teenage rebellion and general delinquency.

One thing I can understand is when a great movie or song is spoiled by a few curse words or a sex scene.

I do find that very frustrating, a song would otherwise be sharable amongst all age groups and cultures is spoiled by something minor and gets limited to a much smaller audience.

Professional psychologists have established a definitive link between teenagers being exposed to crude and perverse music/media and poverty, as well as trouble with the law.

People that choose to listen to the extremely crude music, whether it's a parody/silliness (epic rap battles of history) do show negative effects in their lifestyle. I'm watching it happen to two generations of my family, although I'm not intervening because it's simple simply not my place to do so.
