Why should I care that companies collect my data?

If a company knew literally everything about you, would you be okay with it? Your name, address, phone, current location, medical history, financial history, legal history, education history, employment history, all of your relatives, everyone you spoke to, every word you said, every word you searched for, every video you watched, every book you read, every website you viewed, every dollar you spent, who you voted for, when you exercise, when you bath, your sexual orientation, when you last had sex, who you had sex with, how fast you were driving in relation to the speed limit, when you ran a red light, when you jaywalk, where you have traveled, the login credentials for each of your accounts, etc.

Anything about you or your actions can be used against you. You can be charged more for certain goods and services. You can be rejected by employers. Private businesses can refuse to serve you. Private images and conversations could be made public ruining your relationships or way of living. You could be detained for petty crimes. You could be targeted by criminals. The list goes on and on... the information can be used against you in countless ways.
