Should I continue with the Wheel of Time?

I love the series but it essentially takes those frustrating characters and forces them to change while they try to save the world. Rand goes through like 6 stages as he tries to cope with his role. Eye of the World is stuck so much in Rand's POV and he doesn't do much he's just pulled along by the plot for the first few books. Mat gets interesting when his POV chapters start but that's book 3. Nynaeve will continue to annoy you but that's intentional (and hilarious). Egwene has her own journey but she's pretty annoying when stuck with any of the other 4.

The world building only gets better and deeper. The magic gets more explained as several main characters start learning how to use it. You can see how Sanderson would probably have been inspired by channeling to make his own magic systems.

If you don't like it that's fine just move on, but if the pros are enough maybe give the second book a shot. It has a great ending like a Sanderson avalanche and the world gets just a bit bigger. But if you don't like the second book either I wouldn't continue. .
