We should be eating more rabbit, duck, goose, squirrel, etc.

We kinda lost the war against rabbits too.
We tried infecting them with diseases but all it did was breed generations of super rabbits that are immune to disease, so now we can’t even eat most of them because they are riddled with all sorts of horrible viruses and bacteria. We also tried building one of the longest fences in the world to keep them at bay. At first they just dug underneath the fence so it had to be dug deeper. Now on the edge of the desert there are animal corpses lining this fence for many kilometres. Not just rabbits but also kangaroos and emus that can’t access the greenery on the other side of the fence. Eagles are usually pretty territorial and will take their food someplace safe to eat. But the food is so abundant at this fence that they just hang around like vultures and feast without a care in the world. The rabbits still get through sometimes.
