Should I even go to college?

Thanks for this response. I guess this post is me voicing my frustrations with the education system as whole. I try not to be cynical, but as someone who just wants to start working and helping out with little desire to have one of those "best jobs", it's hard not to feel like my time and money is being somewhat wasted. I definitely see the value in the "well-rounded" education most colleges try to provide, but having a parent work in university administration has shown me that that label is as much about business as it is about the actual education.

After thinking about it since this initial post, I've realized I need to stay in school, but it makes me a little sad that people get negatively impacted by the machine that is American higher education. I'll try to act on some of your advice and make the best of it. Very helpful.
