Should my 70 year old mother sell me her house?

I haven't. To be honest, I don't know a lot about assisted living at all.

She has actually has insurance that covers assisted living, and I guess I thought Medicaid might be able to add to that if we needed it, but I don't know anything about it.

But my biggest concern was that if she got hugely horribly ill and it was going to be massively expensive, and the value of her home was just going to be a drop in the bucket, I'd hate to see it get used that way. She's got memory issues and lung issues, so if she gets Alzheimer or needs to be put on some kind of iron lung or whatever they call it now, and it's going to be a ton of money.. I hate to see her home be just a day's spend on her medical care. It seems like such a waste.
