Should I take my wife to hospital?

I would generally agree that women get worse health care. However that is based on not believing their pain level or discomfort.

I have never heard of a women not being believed about rectal bleeding. And it sounds like she was rushed in for an emergency transfusion which I would not classify as bad medical treatment.

You can advocate for better medical treatment of women, while not seeing sexism in the treatment of every female patient.

The problem here is , that she apparently wasn't referred to the hospital for emergency colonoscopy.

We don't know though. Maybe they told her this is the earliest what we can do, you could only get it faster in the hospital, and she didn't want to go? Or she can't pay? Or she lives in a country where the hospital's are currently full and they have to triage (e.g. Germany right now )

She needs to adovacye for herself. And the doctor should have done that. But I have seen this plenty of times for both female and male patients.
