Why you should NEVER go to medical school.

Everyone acts like they’re a frickin martyr going into medicine…no. Is it “hard” work? Yea. Is both spouses working 40+ hours a week to support a family hard work. Also yes. Hell, even working your way up the ladder in any career can take lots of hours of hard work to get to where you want with your life. I’m sick of everyone acting like this is the be all, end all of life. It’s just as much work as my full time job was before starting school, just in different ways. I spend plenty of time with my spouse, friends, and family, while still doing well in school. If you make medicine the sole defining aspect of your personality, sure maybe you’ll be crushed by it when it doesn’t meet your expectations of elevating you to societies highest standard. Otherwise, we are just people like everyone else, getting trained in a specific field of our choosing.
