You should not be eating 1200 calories a day without discussing it with a doctor or nutritionist.

I think in general people should do more research on their own personal body type and restrictions before they copy any information on what to do to lose weight online. I say this because in 2020 I was able to lose 100 pounds in 10 months and I was eating between 2000-2500 calories a day the entire time. I'm very tall and was walking about 15,000-20,000 steps a day at the time because I did not drive and had a long walk to work. If I would have copied a diet that I saw online that said 1200 then I would have been starving myself due to my size and activity level. Even these popular "weight" loss shows on TV show people that are 500+ pounds being put on 1200 calorie diets. I'm not saying this is good or bad but what I am saying is these people on the show are not just being put on a diet, they are being monitored constantly behind the scenes having their health tracked in detail by the shows doctors so if someone of same size just sees this on tv and copies it without all the help from the doctors.... that could be a huge problem because everyone's starting point and base line health is different.
