My parents told me the same exact thing as Lilith and I was like 4 yrs old. I was a very smart and curious kid. Because we lived in inner city Baltimore, my parents didn’t want to send me to the city school. Instead they signed me up for kindergarten at the catholic school near our house. My dad told me that I would come home from school and ask why they are always talking about God and Jesus and why I have to talk about them too. Praying was something I didn’t like to do at school because it just felt weird to me. I used to open my eyes and look around and try not to laugh seeing everyone else so calmly doing it. Kinda funny how uncomfortable I was with Christian religion at such a young age.
