They should have protected him, so how did EMTs let a man walk away to his eventual death?

How has this not had more traction?! No one is discussing this, but a Jacket makes the top of the page?

This is deplorable. These EMTs and officer need to understand what it is to assess a patient. They had no history, and he was clearly acting out of normal. I know it's not against the law to be crazy, but running up and down the interstate... and they only care to get his name? Wow. Amazing. Ask the officer tp place him in protective custody. Take him to the hospital.

This might come as a shock to some providers, but our goal is not to fill out paperwork and wear cool jackets. We have a duty to act. To help people, and to understand when people need help.
