Should I Quit My Job Start Trading Options Full Time?

I quit my job last year to trade fulltime. While I was successful in terms of making enough money to live on, I decided to go back to work after only 6 months. The main downsides where:

-Social: No colleagues, drinks or even just on the job banter. - Work/life balance: Non-existent. I would wake up at 4 AM excited to test a new strategy. -No growth: As a an independent trader, the only real progression is making more money. -Money: I was making about 2-3% a month, which was about equal to my salary. But I could easily make 1% while working full time. Financially it was not the right decision. -No job satisfaction: Beoming consistently profitable is of course very rewarding, but I couldn't shake the feeling that I wasn't contribution to society in any way.

On the plus side, it was extremely rewarding to 'solve the puzzle'. I'm glad I did it. It's also very liberating to know that I don't need my job and could just quit and trade again.

Feel free to ask me questions about my experience. And if you do decide to go for it, good luck!
