Should “Ready Player One” be considered a good book?

Just finished it, seeing how the movie is about to come out.

It's a bad book, but it's a fun read. A film version could fix it.

I'm reading this because I wanted a book full of 80's nostalgia. Why are you explaining everything so often?

It's a self-insert hero fantasy, I get it, but I never felt like Wade earned anything, including Art3mis' affections.

Every time an interesting theme is introduced, it's dropped like Daito.

It felt like an early draft. Most of the problems with it, I attribute to missing content. If Cline included more character interactions, more side-adventures, more exposition on the nature of the real world, it would have been a much better book.
