Should a residency firing a resident be a red flag for the residency?

Leaving for appointments in the middle of the day without signing things out to anyone. Trying to schedule sick days ahead of time and expecting others to cover for her. Copying and pasting an admission note from years ago verbatim rather than writing a new one. Disappearing for hours at a time when on call and not responding to pages. Applying to other residencies without telling anyone including my PD and randomly leaving for interviews without telling anyone. Not showing up to off-site rotations at all and lying about it. Finally the straw that broke the camel's back was her going out on a leave of absence due to PTSD from getting "bullied by the program", then using her leave of absence to enroll in naturopath classes, then when my program terminated her at the end of her FMLA time, she tried to sue our program and lost in court.

Trust me, if you are a sane person with basic human decency who gives half a shit, you will not be terminated for professionalism issues.
