Should Sasuke Have Remained Single After Returning to Konaha?

What I believed happened is that Sasuke began to take an interest in Sakura after coming out of his Curse of Hatred and realizing that Sakura never gave up on him despite all the things he did(especially to her). He finally was able to feel being loved again, and thus he can show affection back. But then again, Naruto also describes this. But I guess since Sakura is female, he can show a different affection to her I guess. But then again, Karin also describes this, and she's female herself. Maybe because he knew Sakura longer? Idk.

As for Sakura; I believe it's because the more Sasuke fell into the darkness, the more she felt she needed to help him. What started out as a selfish love become a selfless love. She wanted to give Sasuke the love that he had forgotten. I also attribute this Sakura's admiration of Naruto's "never giving up" attitude, and it rubbed off on her. She could take all the hurt because she knows Sasuke himself is hurting and what he's going through would never compare to what she was going through. This is also why I believed she could never truly love Naruto no matter how much she cared for, supported, and protected him. He was the ideal guy for her, someone who stood up for her(even when Sasuke himself tries putting her down), protects her, and willing to put his body on the line for her. But he had no trouble finding people to love him. He had a gift of making friends and bonds. Even when Naruto trips up, he holds his ground and still finds a way to escape any tempting darkness. He didn't need love, Sasuke did.
