Should I sell my car to bike to work?

Hello! Wondering if it is possible for you to live even closer to work? Or would that raise your living costs? I'm not super familiar with Lansing, but am happily car free in a small town in rural NH. It works largely because I can safely walk ( .5 mile to 2 miles) to many necessities.

We're in the midst of a lengthy run of extremely cold weather, and quality gear, especially good base layers have been so worth it. Recco buying both synthetic and merino wool. I wore both together the other day. For walking my dog, but if I had needed to go someplace further on foot, the combination was perfect.

Good luck with your test run. I agree it's smart to see how it works out for you.
