Should I still close on a house that has water damage

Again I don't mean to sound harsh to a stranger; I think you said you were a programmer or something so not unintelligent but the level of naïveté you are displaying is almost as astounding as the level of damage in your video. On your other thread, posters told you to delete it and get your stuff out of there yet you keep coming back to post questions that no one here can reliably answer for you. This is not a typical situation.

I'm not an expert by any means but it's apparent when the seller finds out about this damage, the contract will be over. And even if you are willing to pay cash to buy this--you have to wait until the insurance company fixes the damage--because the insurance is under the sellers name. And on the off-chance you want to buy this as-is with all cash and deal with the repairs yourself--well that's just totally insane.

You seem to be really attached to this house and sorry things happened this way but your next step is to just wait and let things play out--which could take a very long time.
