Even if things are “under control” in China, you have to keep in mind what it took for them to get there. They resorted to strict draconian measures. I heard they were welding people into their homes and sentencing anyone who left home for nonessential reasons to lengthy prison sentences. All this and it’s been three months and China is still in ruins.

For a variety of reasons, we will never be able to implement such extreme measures here in the United States. Even if we could implement such measures we’d still be far behind China in terms of timing and spread when the measures were first ordered. All indications point to this lasting several several months, maybe years.
