Do NOT update.

I made the mistake of doing it just to get the update alert thing to go away. It's absolutely destroyed some of my favorite aspects of this phone.

I no longer receive notifications for any apps other than Message+ while on Wi-Fi and get a flood of them when I exit Wi-Fi. I loved being able to glance at my phone's LED light and see what I had given the color of the notice, and now that's completely pointless because the majority of the time when I'm not on Wi-Fi is when I'm driving in which case I'm not checking my phone.

I used to be able to swipe down from the top of the lock screen and read at least the first portion of my text messages. It was great because then I wouldn't have to open up the phone itself to read the message when I'm just waiting for a short text or a "Yes/No" answer. It was just simple and quick. Double tap the screen on, swipe down real fast, read, then lock. Now I have to double tap, click on the message (which is just a text notification from Contact Name), then swipe to unlock, then wait for Message+ to load if my phone's being laggy, then read, then lock. It seems like a small thing but it makes a world of difference.

My battery life is now utter shit. I had my phone on but not plugged in last night, no Apps running, and my battery went from 68% to 14% in 8 hours. That shit never happened before.

Above all else, the volume settings are a complete and total fucking nightmare now. There's no silent mode. There's no more silent mode. What utter fucking moron thought that was a good idea? If you want the new version of what I guess you could consider silent mode, you receive no LED notifications whatsoever, and your alarms won't work. I'm still trying to work out how to get it as close as possible to how I had it before, where I could have my phone ring if I get a call, my alarms go off, yet have silent LED notifications for all else. I think I've solved it, or at least gotten close. Turn it to "All" in the "Interruption Menu", tur the volume up to ring, and turn notification/touch feedback & system volume all the way down. Still not positive if that covers everything because my phone just vibrated and I can't figured out why. So fucking complicated for what used to be unbelievably simple.

On top of all that shit, my phone is lagging and acting up more than ever. This update was literally made by an ostrich bashing it's head against a keyboard, having a potato do some QC on it, and then shipping it out. Do not update.
