Either way you can't lose. I bet the game won't be that drastically different than it is now by the winter sale. I think the backlash for this game is a little dramatic imo. Most criticisms of the game are fair but to the extent to which these completely "ruin" the game is highly subjective imo. I have been playing it about every other day in single player and multiplayer with my friend and have had a blast. There are a few things (bugs and certain features) here and there that are frustrating but thats to be expected for a new game. I also barely played Victoria 2 so I went into this game with a fresh mind so keep that in mind.

If you are really itching for it I would just say pull the trigger and enjoy it. If you can wait and want to save $10 then that's fine too. Either way I think you will like it.
