Why We Shouldn't Trade Andre Drummond: A stat and comparison.

Now take those stats and imagine how ridiculous they would be if he was preforming at a high level.

If has been the keyword to Drummond from well before draft night. Analysts believed he had the potential to be the best center in the NBA; yet he fell to #9 in his draft class, and was judged a draft-day gamble, because of concerns over his maturity and work ethic. Those concerns turned out to be absolutely justified.

He already actually has near 7,000 points and boards.

He has a career TS% of 53.3. That is terrible for a traditional center, and it's skewed by his first two seasons in the league. From 2014-2015 onward, his TS% is 51.8. That would be awful for any shooter in the league, but it's morbidly bad for a center.

He's a great rebounder, and nobody has disputed that. But it's all he's been good at throughout his career. That isn't enough.

Now imagine if he had started his rookie year and never broken his back. 8/9,000 points and boards easily.

He never broke his back. He had a minor stress fracture in his back.
