Shoutout to all the people who have been in a loving relationship for YEARS and still going strong!

I (23f) have been together with my boyfriend (24m) for 9 years now. We are high-school sweethearts. We have been living together for 3 years. It is all about love, respect and friendship. He is my lover, but also my best friend. We are both a bit messy, so we never fight about household chores. We just fit like a 2-piece puzzle. Thinking about it, we have never actually have had fights. I may become a bit upset for something, literally 3-4 times for all these years, but it passed eventually. He is just such a calm person, that his calmness complements my emotional self. He also supports me when I am down (which can be quite often, given how emotional I can be). It is the mutual respect, understanding and love. As I already said we may be first lovers, but we are also best friends, hence in the time we are not engaging in romantic activities, we can have fun as friends do - watch tv, play games, go shopping, go for walks etc.
