Sibling life

Wow yeah, my middle son complained about not having a phone when our oldest got his phone. They're 14 months apart, practically a year really, but there is a sense of joy reaching that "magical" age when your parents grant you responsibilities that you realize if you fuck it up, you're in huge trouble. We only have our oldest a phone because he has type 1 diabetes so if his sugar is low at a friend's house, he could just call me up to drop off a snack or give advice on what carbs he should eat there. We just allowed the rule for all of them to own a phone at 10 because we wanted to be fair.

Both phones are broken...we won't fix them, the boys have to earn their pay with chores. Our daughter (the youngest) isn't in any hurry to own one.
