Sick of pompous M.Ds and privileged behavior

Honestly man. I worked as a tech and we had an African American tech who was literally the golden guy of the floor, not because he was black, but because he earned it. He was always rushing to codes, checking on nurses who looked tired, and taking the extra time to talk to patients. I did the same things, but I can say with no shame that he was just better at the job than me. He went to PA school the next year I think?

Your whole "rant" screams "everyone can do stupid shit and I can't cause I'm black". You mention being let go from one job and leaving/being let go of another. Honestly I don't know your story or what hospital you work at. However, you should take a direct look at your work practices/how you treat people.

It very well could be race, there are racist people out there. I am sure african americans run into racism far more than I do, but nothing in your rant points to it being about race but you. You really need to take an internal locus of control focus on your work ethic.

Now if people are talking about race, or treating you different because of race, or other african americans in your hospital are talking about this too. Then you need to take the initiative and report them to HR. It sucks sometimes that people have to fight this battle because of race, gender or anything, but some people need to learn the hard way.
