Just an FYI about the virus originating out of Wuhan. Sniffles and sneezing are NOT symptoms of it, it does not present as a cold does in these ways. Coughing and fever are the main symptoms.

Its the school fault for making it so impossible to miss school with hard due dates and deadlines, and no ability to make up for missed labs and practicals etc

No, it's sadly not (although I agree with your frustration and sentiment). They've got our money. The only education mandatory is K-12. Post-secondary is not a requirement, they can do whatever the hell they want with their curriculums and their requirements to earn their degrees, public money or not.

Unfortunately at this point, you've got to be prepared to view it as a business at 17 when you're approaching post-secondary and making the decision on where to go and which school's culture fits your style best. And the most fucked up part is that tuition is so high that no one can afford to relocate. UTM knows they have less affluent Peel/Halton kids under a loaded gun, where else would we go?
