Sigh

But really seeing someone buy a frozen prepared meal especially one that costs as much as that does is kind of silly. As an internet stranger I want to kind of help convince you how easy it is to cook healthy and tasty meals at home, without needing to buy that really gross looking unhealthy food.

Some easy foods:

Rice / Chicken / Broccoli

-Get a chicken breast (boneless if you're lazy ;)) and cube it up, throw it in a pan with some olive oil on medium high heat get it nice and brown, season it a bit if you'd like (I like jerk chicken, also keep honey garlic sauce in my fridge)

-Rice - use Uncle Ben's Instant Rice (or whatever brand), all you need is some boiling water, salt and butter, that's it. It cooks in literally 5 mins, and comes out perfect every time. If you want to avoid the salt/butter it will be even healthier. Sometimes I use chicken broth instead of water and it tastes even more amazing.

  • Broccoli - Get some broccoli, pull the little heads off and throw them in a microwave safe bowl. Throw some plastic wrap over it and poke a few holes in the wrap, throw this in the microwave for 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is nice and hot/steamed. Cook to your taste, if you like it crunchy leave it in there less, otherwise keep it in there more.

That's it man, thsi whole mean can cost you SO LITTLE. And making variations of it can mean meals for days and days and days. Substitute a can of black beans for the chicken, or use asparagus or spinach instead of broccoli. Like pasta? Cook some pasta instead of the rice.

The possibilities are endless! Don't forget how easy it is to make soups and one-pot slowcooker meals.

Anyways, I hope you seriously consider getting off that frozen prepackaged crap before you get some form of cancer or high blood pressure. Those things are loaded with preservatives and they're not a part of a sustainable diet. I doubt you want to be eating Weight Watchers crap your whole life. Start transitioning over to a healthier lifestyle and you'll enjoy your money and food much better. :)
