If there was a genetic mutation in a person that disallowed them from being vaccinated, I wouldn't suggest the world come grinding to a halt or every single other person alter their way of living. Think of the people who are born immunocompromised as children and literally raised in bubbles. When those kids were born, out solution wasn't to restrict everyone. Your friend should accept their situation, and find a job that allows them to work from home and take necessary precautions until when/if herd immunity is reached. While the rest of the world marches on as it will regardless.

Now to address your straw man, no she shouldn't "just die I guess". Should people who were immunocompromised from cancer before 2019 "just die I guess"? This isn't a new situation. YOU did nothing about it before 2019. It didn't make you a bad person, it just is the way it is.
