I have to admit you have a good rebuttal. Personally, I am conflicted on the matter in the OP. I feel that action should not be taken based on an automated system like that, but if the person themselves have posted proof that they deserved the outcome (which is exactly what happened in this case), I have no complaints with it. They got exactly what was coming to them and I'm perfectly fine with that.

But what really happens when you have true freedom of speech is exactly what's going on right now in the US. You have people abusing their right to free speech to insult and harass people who are different from them. You have the ones being harassed attempting to protect themselves and seek legal reformation for these things, and then of course you have the people who are harassing them saying "But muh freedom of speech".

At some point you have to accept that you're an asshole. And you have to accept the consequences of your actions. And the only people I really see defending the guy in the OP are the people who are just like him. Out for themselves, not caring about anyone else. They don't care how the new penalty system works, as long as it's not used on them. And that's a shame, because they're the ones who deserve it the most.
