Just got my first TzHaar task since returning in February, thought it would be a good excuse to get the upgraded cape from the fight kiln. I have some questions though:

1) how essential is the obsidian gear? I'm 137 combat, dual drygores and I'd be using torva plate/legs and bandos for melee and probably Arma/chaotics for range.

2) does the fight kiln count towards my Slayer task? The wiki seems to indicate it with their recommended gear, but I haven't found anything that explicitly says yes or no.

3) follow up from question 2, if I do want to get the obsidian gear I need to do brink of extinction. Just curious if those monsters killed in the quest would also count towards my task?
