I’m not offended, it’s obviously not a blatant attack, but perhaps people should be more mindful of drawing comparisons that trivialize the experiences of people both present who aren’t so lucky to feel like they are accepted by society/family (whether they are in the western world or in any of the countries where it is not as accepted as you say) and past who were explicitly punished for their sexual preference.

I don’t think a reddit comment is taking power away from the LGBT community. Also I have no idea what your last sentence has anything to do with what I commented, and frankly, I don’t care what else you have to say because it doesn’t matter.
