Simon Cowell donates £25,000 to close dog meat farm in South Korea

Disagree. There are huge differences between dogs and cows personality, utility and intelligence levels. Dogs are like toddlers and cows are on a lower sentience level altogether. There are reasons people don't have cows on their beds and they certainly aren't title anything like "man's best friend". I agree that eating a living creature is wrong and cows certainly are valuable for produce, but to compare levels of human compatibility between dogs and cows has a clear choice of which one is a better emotional and practical fit for us to love more as a species.

For my second rant...how is donating to a fund to close down a dog meat shop going to work exactly?...couldn't they just take the money and then setup a new shop? What's to stop it from popping up down the street? Is it just to save those specific dogs then?
