I have to disagree with Bernardo's tweet being "rooted" in racism. Usually when people use visual comparisons as jokes, you pick something that caricaturizes some of their features.

Haaland looks like Buu because of that compressed face with a huge brow ridge. Mbappe looks like a turtle ninja because of that oval shape and large mouth. Bale because of his mouth. Suarez because of the teeth.

When it comes to that picture that Bernardo posted, the features that were caricaturized were his very dark complex and round skull. Unfortunately for Bernardo, that can be misinterpreted very easily.
