A simple look

The truth is, if you remove the delivery platform from the equation, and most people were truly on their own as independent delivery drivers, they'd either realize quickly the 'passive aggressive' / somewhat hostile approach to customer service would put them out of business pretty quickly. It would all be word of mouth without the platform to bring customers to you.

I'm not saying drivers or any person in any job related capacity should allow themselves to be walked on or taken advantage of, but the reality is a lot of people who do this take for granted that the only reason they can treat customers that way is because Door dash keeps bringing the customers to them - regardless of how they treated the last customer. That is until they manage to get themselves deactivated and it's surprised Pikachu face.
