Simple Questions - February 22, 2019

My system is currently:

  • Ryzen 5 2600 with AIO cooler

  • GTX 1070

  • 16GB 3000 RAM

I'm playing games primarily at 1440p 60 hz and performance has been very good. In some games I get 90 to 100 fps, so I decided to upgrade to a 1440p 144 hz monitor. Now I'm thinking the next upgrade would be a new GPU in order to get closer to 144 fps.

Is there an obvious upgrade path? I'm not necessarily looking to spend $700 on an RTX 2080, especially because I'm not really interested in ray tracing or DLSS. I guess the next step down is the 2070, but is that really a worthwhile upgrade?

I also just saw the news about the GTX 1660 Ti. Is there likely to be a GTX 1670 released at some point? Or something in that tier from AMD in the next quarter or two?
