Simple Questions (SQ) Thread 02/16/17

Hey everyone, first-time poster here in desperate need of some advice. So I recently received a pair of Ferragamo Gancio Bit Loafers as a gift for my twenty-first birthday in a US size of 10.5 (I typically buy shoes either at size 10 or 10.5, depending on the fit of the shoe). However, upon briefly wearing them after having received them in the mail, I have found that the back of my heel occasionally slightly slips out of the back of the shoe, making me worry that the shoe might be too big. The gentleman at the store apparently told my parents (who bought the pair of shoes for me) to get the shoes either half a size or one whole size larger than my actual shoe size, so they opted for the aforementioned 10.5. I haven't walked around in them very much since I'm not sure if I'll have to return them (and I'm always scared of companies not accepting returns due to excessive wear), so I'm not sure if this is something that will eventually go away as I break in/get used to the shoe... I just wanted to see if anyone could lend me some advice in this situation, seeing as how I'm pretty new to the whole world of higher-end dress shoes and I'm pretty wary of accidentally screwing this decision up and having an expensive pair of ill-fitting shoes. Any and all help is appreciated, and I hope you guys all have a nice day! Thanks, -Dan
