Since Drake memes are all the rage these days

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I was taught fully automatic is like, you can just hold a trigger down and it'll shoot til it's out of bullets and with semi-automatic you have to pull the trigger again after each shot. Not automatic at all is reloading after every shot.

I am genuinely asking why you can't hunt with one. I'm not trying to argue for anything, IDGAF about gun control, I'm not in the states, your shootings don't effect me. I'm just wondering if there's a reason beyond "reloading is annoying".

If you miss your first shot won't any animal just hear the gun and bolt anyway? Why would you need to be able to shoot again right away?

Sorry if it came off like I was trying to argue for something, I know Americans don't like when outsiders talk about your politics. I'm just asking because we don't have school shootings at all and I just find this whole thing kind of interesting and confusing.
