The idea that Facebook would allow meddling in elections was a conspiracy theory. The idea the US government would track and database phone calls was a conspiracy theory. The idea that the Canadian government was hiding the deaths of indigenous children was a conspiracy theory.

How many times does it need to be shown that if you give people with power the opportunity to do a bad thing other countries are already doing that, surprise, they will do that bad thing.

Why is there this blind trust in policing up until they kill someone when suddenly there is a surprise?
