single & mid-30s: is there a light at the end of the tunnel?

Thank you for this reminder. I had one set of goals when I first quit my job and I was REALLY excited to start building the life I wanted. Then I got into a relationship right after that absolutely broke my spirit. I realized after reading your comment ALL my goals now revolve around being more appealing to men. And that feels kind of gross.

For me, it's hard to think of my life moving forward without a partner because I really really really want a family again after losing so many people. It's lovely sharing moments with friends and their families, or my super extended family, but I'd love to have a close, immediate family again. And for me that'd ideally start with a partner.
